The Uganda Story
The Republic of Uganda is located in East Africa, bordered in the north by Sudan, to the east by Kenya, by the Democratic Republic of Congo in the west, Rwanda in the southwest and Tanzania to the south. The southern part of the country includes a large portion of Lake Victoria, within which it shares borders with Tanzania and Kenya.
1971-1979 Dictatorship rule in Uganda under Idi Amin

WTM calls for a nationwide prayer and repentance in pursuit of God's destiny
HIV/AIDs drops from 34% to 6%; Church influences all areas of society
Nations around the world hear of the transformation taking place in Uganda
1991 Missions to Europe, America, and other regions of Africa begin
1994 John Mulinde begins lunch hour prayer, Kampala City Center - becomes 24 hour prayer watch
1995 Prophetic word for Uganda received - God reveals His redemptive purpose for the nation
1996 First AfriCamp held as a national camp in Kampala, Uganda
Strategic plan for prayer altars to push back darkness is instituted
1997 National Prayer and Repentance Campaign launched
The President of the Republic of Uganda hands the national flag to the intercessors
1998 AfriCamp officially launched as an international, annual Prayer & Transformation Camp
The President of Uganda commissions missionary work of WTM
1999 Prayer Mountain for All Nations is purchased near Kampala to pray unceasingly for nations
International missions grow rapidly
2000 WTM sends 40 prayer missionaries to Europe impacting Germany and the U.K.
2001 The Lord re-issues the call to the ministry for a total consecration to Him
2003 "Timothy Camp," WTM's annual youth conference begins
2005 WTM sabbatical - ministers released to seek God's direction; many begin own ministry
A base in the United States is opened
2007 Work in the Far East begins to open and spread rapidly
2010 The Secret to Fruitfulness is released after seeking God for increased fruit in the nations
2011 The Wake-Up Call book is published and used as a tool for the awakening of the Church
2013 Prayer Altars: A Strategy that is Changing Nations is published and being used globally
